We’re pleased to offer a few highlights of our work. We’ve worked with some pretty extraordinary teams & are grateful for the opportunity.
ORGANIC GROWTH STRATEGY
A truly decentralized team with offices spread throughout the US was growing and their opportunities way exceeded their resources. They needed clarity to decipher their high-value opportunities from their moderate-value distractions. We established a criterion in line with the vision and established a rhythm of strategy sessions that focused on idea conversion – converting good ideas to weekly actions. The team rallied with improved insight & team interactions. Operating profit grew by 250% in the first six months.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT LEADERSHIP
A five year old firm with total personnel around 25 was growing but stifled by their ability to manage projects. Quality was increasingly difficult to deliver and ‘overrun & over budget’ was the norm. Our evaluation identified key opportunities to improve team reporting as well as clarify individual responsibility. We made a visible shift in employee engagement and united the project managers around the customers’ perspective. Quality, Schedule, & Budget metrics moved from 60%, 35%, & 45% to 95%, 86%, & 92% respectively.
EQUITY FINANCING STRATEGY
A start-up had licensed nanotechnology from a university and had high hopes of attracting funding and talent. The technology was unique and clearly appeared to have promise of solving several natural limitations of conventional materials. While the technology portion made sense, several enterprise questions remained unanswered – How would they make money? How would they structure their offering? How would they manage their load and stay innovative? We helped them answer these questions and both attract and secure investment of over $5 million.
EXECUTIVE TEAM & CULTURE
A ten year old firm was poised for explosive growth and many concerns were on the horizon. Decision making was painstakingly slow and too centralized. Our evaluation defined several cultural barriers and clear missing targets for the executive team. The team made a felt shift in strategic direction. At the end of a year, the top line had grown by over 300%, operations restructured to a matrix, project management became a well oiled machine, & EBITDA had grown by 600%.
